This post will be about things that bug me, or annoy me. This may be difficult for me to come up with, but here we go. Here's a list of the 20 things that is a nuisance to me:
1) Sometimes I go to retail stores, and have to wait approximately 10 minutes in line, while the sales associate is right in front of me doing "work" as if he/she doesn't see me waiting in line.
Why this bug exists?
There may be a shortage of staff at the retail store, and that employee has many tasks to do at once.
2) When I am working at a retail job, and customers take out their bad day on me because I am at work, and there is nothing I can do/say to defend myself.
Why this bug exists?
Customer may be having a bad day, and need to take their anger out on someone.
3) My teacher assigning multiple assignments as if I don't have other classes.
Why this bug exists?
Teachers need to give assignments to their students to keep the course up to university standards.
4) Drivers going 10 mph and more below the speed limit.
Why this bug exists?
The driver may not be in a rush, or driver may be an elderly driver. Elderly drivers have a reputation for being really slow drivers.
5) Buying facial care products, and it does not meet my quality standards, and causes my skin to break out.
Why this bug exists?
Products are made with different ingredients. There is really nothing I can do about it, but choose which products agree with my skin.
6) Spending a lot of money on headphones, and they either stop working after a few months, or the audio is horrible.
Why this bug exists?
These headphones are not good quality, and the company is making a fortune off the profit of selling them.
7) Going to McDonald's for breakfast at 11:00 am, and then not being able to get any because breakfast time is over at the company.
Why this bug exists?
McDonald's probably wants many people to get up early to get their breakfast.
8) Having to get up early for medical appointments.
Why this bug exists?
Medical organizations are usually opened from 8 am to 5 pm. Sometimes I can end up with an early appointment.
9) Not having money to go shopping every month.
Why this bug exists?
I don't have a job at the moment. If I want this to happen, I probably need to get a job.
10) Employees that are unprofessional and rude. An example would be rescheduling your appointment without your knowledge.
Why this bug exists?
These employees are not properly trained, and think it's appropriate to reschedule clients' appointments without their permission.
11) Getting to a store, not even having time to walk around, and someone asking if I need help.
Why this bug exists?
The employee is most likely trained to do this. I am not sure if he/she is just trying to help, but it is a nuisance.
12) Buying something and realizing the product is broken/damaged when I already get to my house, and then having to go back to the store to return it.
Why this bug exists?
This is both my fault and the store's fault as well. I should have checked the product carefully before leaving the store, and the store shouldn't be selling damaged products.
13) Nail polishes that chip within a week.
Why this bug exists?
The ingredients in the nail polish may be causing it to chip easily.
14) Waiting in traffic on the highway because of work ahead. This causes me to be an hour late to my destination.
Why this bug exists?
Sometimes highway construction workers need to work on the highway, and this can cause traffic to move very slowly.
15) Shipping carriers taking an extra day to deliver what I ordered because the companies are not open on a holiday.
Why this bug exists?
Most companies are not open on holidays, and shipping carriers are no exception.
16) Turning on my computer to unexpected Windows updates that takes approximately an hour to finally update. The bad part about this is that I can't cancel the updates once it starts, and I can't do anything else with my computer.
Why this bug exists?
Computers using Windows need to update, but I should be able to choose when I want the updates to occur.
17) Notification numbers on the apps on my phone.
Why this bug exists?
Phone users need to know what is happening on their apps. For some reason these numbers annoy me, and I am sure I'm not the only one.
18) Scammers calling my phone trying to cheat me out of my money.
Why this bug exists?
There are many imbeciles out there, and scammers fall into this category.
19) Hair products that make my hair frizzy.
Why this bug exists?
Hair products are made differently, and some may not agree with my hair, but at least I tried it out.
20) Giving out my social security number and other private information to organizations just to register in their system.
Why this bug exists?
Organizations need to do background checks on their potential clients, and using personal information is a key factor to getting the results of that background check.
Coming up with 20 things that bug me was not as tough as I thought it was going to be. It did take me a while to come up with the list, but it was not difficult. The hardest part was writing about why the bug exists, which made me examine the situation to see what was really going wrong.

Week 2 Reading Reflection
1) What was the biggest surprise for you in the reading? In other words, what did you read that stood out the most as different from your expectations?
I read the first chapter of our entrepreneurship book, "Entrepreneurship: Theory, Practice, and Theory". This chapter is an introductory chapter, and explains what entrepreneurship is. The biggest surprise in the reading for me is the great difference between small-business owners and entrepreneurs. Before the reading, I thought they were both the same thing. Small-business owners are seen as managers of small businesses, while entrepreneurs are seen as innovators, and associated with growth of their business.
2) Identify at least one part of the reading that was confusing to you.
One part of the reading that was confusing to me was the words written under the heading, "The Displacement School of Thought". The writing says that the displacement school of thought focuses on the negative side of group phenomena. In this case, I am not sure who is in the group they are referring to. I am guessing the book is referring to the competitors of the entrepreneur.
3) If you were able to ask two questions to the author, what would you ask? Why?
If I can ask two questions to the author, the first one would be what his definition of entrepreneurship is? I would ask this because the book has many definitions of entrepreneurship given by many professionals, and I want to know what is the author's definition based on his expertise. Another question would be what degree does he have, if any? I would ask this question because I am curious what level of degree he has to write a book on entrepreneurship.
4) Was there anything you think the author was wrong about? Where do you disagree with what she or he said? How?
No, I don't suspect the author wrote anything that was wrong. However, I am not an expert in entepreneurship, and I am now learning about the principles of entrepreneurship. If the was any inaccuracy in the book, I would not notice it.

My Entrepreneurship Story
Although I cannot recall any personal experience with entrepreneurship, I was exposed to entrepreneurship through the CNN Films' produced movie called "Steve Jobs: The Man in the Machine". The documentary film starts off by showing the beginnings of the Apple empire. Steve Jobs' life started on February 24, 1955 in San Francisco, California. There he grew up, and became intrigued by electronics and gadgets. He saw his first computer when he was 12 years old at a local NASA center. A few years later he was introduced to the Hewlett Packard 9100. Fascinated by the Hewlett Packard 9100, Jobs went to the Hewlett Packard Research Lab to write computer programs for the Hewlett Packard model in 1968. Years later in 1975, Steve Jobs and his childhood friend, Steve Wozniak, started the Apple legacy in Jobs parents' garage by building a prototype computer. Both were into electronics, and quit their jobs at technology companies to start their business venture. Jobs created the Macintosh, now branded Mac, in 1984 after years of producing different types of Apple computers.
Apple has managed to create some of the best technology products known to man. Following Steve Jobs' death, many people around the world were deeply saddened by the tragedy of his passing away. This was because he left an impression on them with his Apple products. Jobs was a true example of a great entrepreneur. My perception of entrepreneurship greatly mirrors the actions of him in his career. I perceive entrepreneurship to be working hard to create something that can be used by many people. Steve Jobs did exactly that. Although he had a different approach to running his business compared to his competitors, he still managed to soar to the top. Many people who knew Jobs saw him as diligent and cold. He was also very competitive. Apple eventually outsold it's competitor, IBM, to become the leading computer company. I see this as being a great accomplishment as an entrepreneur. Presently, IBM is nonexistent compared to Apple. Apple is a leading technology company, while IBM is a struggling computer hardware company. Entrepreneurs should always strive to be the best in their field. He advertised Apple setting customers free from IBM with Apple's 1984 Super Bowl advertisement, where the setting was a dystopian society of mindless drones sitting in a crowd and watching a tyrant's speech. The drones represented IBM's customers, and the tyrant was the leading computer company at the time, IBM. Finally a girl with a hammer interrupts the tyrant's speech, and sets the customers free from the unoriginality of IBM with Apple's Macintosh. Jobs also made a speech where he pointed out the battle of the two companies for the top spot in the technology world. Another trait that makes him a great entrepreneur is his persistence for invention within his company. Apple has constantly came up with new versions of its Macs, Ipads, and Iphones, which makes them such exciting and anticipated product lines. People wait hours in line for the release of these Apple products.
I enrolled in ENT3003 because I am interested in using entrepreneurship to make decisions in my financial career, or even starting my own business. I am presently minoring in Entrepreneurship, and hope employers will see this as an asset to the financial position I will be applying to. I hope to learn about the foundation of entrepreneurship from this course. It is a prerequisite for many of my other entrepreneurship courses, so I am assuming that it is an important entrepreneurship course. I don't wish to learn everything about starting my own business from ENT3003, but just the priciples of entrepreneurship.

Introduction to My Life
Hey,
My name is Arielle Cooper, and I am a Finance major at the University of Florida. I am currently working towards my Bachelor's degree, and a minor in Entrepreneurship. I am originally from Trinidad and Tobago, and moved to the United States during my Freshman year of high school. I have 2 sisters, and one brother. They are all supportive of my financial career. After I graduate from the University of Florida, I hope to secure a great financial position at a top company. I also hope to travel to Europe and South America. If I can get temporary job positions in these places that would be perfect. I haven't traveled to anywhere outside the United States, except for my homeland Trinidad. I believe that "hard work pays off", and I use that motto to keep me working hard through my college years, and will use it in my future career.
